Summer this year has been exactly what we all needed after the chaos that was 2020 and the first half of 2021.   1. Outdoor Cinema with Summer Screens

Hosted at Winchester College, why not treat your family to an outdoor cinema excursion? With deck chairs and bean bags available to hire, this is the perfect evening out and opportunity to enjoy the community here in Winchester. There are 2 viewings coming up on the 12th and 13th of August, which you can book via the Summer Screens website. What better way to spend a summer evening!

  1. Underwater Agents at Winchester Science Centre

One for the kids, and one they’ll never forget! Spend an evening immersed by the sights and sounds of the ocean, and enjoy a free interactive science show at Winchester Science Centre this August. Available between 17th July and 19th September, find out more via their website. 

  1. Waterway tours through Winchester

Maybe you’re looking to slow down the pace this August, and what better way to do that than a scenic stroll along River Itchen. This fascinating tour highlights the hidden waterways of the River Itchen as it runs through Winchester, revealing some of Winchester's unique history.   1. CarFest South Fundraising Festival at Laverstoke Farm

A bit further out, but if you ask us - definitely worth the drive! This August, say hello to CarFest South Camping festival, the UK’s biggest fundraising festival at the end of August, showcasing 3 full days of music from your favourite artists, famous cars and delicious food.   1. Stand up Comedy night in Winchester 

Share some laughs with your loved one or friends at this One Off Comedy Special headlining Manchester born Michael Hackett and BBC Comedy Award Legen Johnny Wardlow. Having sold out their UK tour, they’re on admission to make this show accessible in areas it wasn't before, and as a result, will be performing at the Weeke Community Centre in Winchester on Friday the 27th of August. Calling all foodies! With 95 different independent stalls, Winchester officially hosts the UK’s largest monthly Farmers Market, making it a tough one to miss. Explore Winchester’s local produce and suppliers by exploring this colourful and vibrant market. And if you miss it - not to worry - because Winchester actually hosts 2 every month!
