But we’re afraid to tell you the commotion doesn’t stop there... the sound of howling ghouls, wicked witches and bubbling cauldrons can be heard in the streets of Winchester and with half term very much creeping up on us, we have a spook-tacularly amazing array of Halloween activities suitable for everyone to keep you and your family busy in Winchester this October. After that, bring your little ones and head on over to the free and fun-filled Halloween-themed Spooky Word Hunt! After finding all the words, you can collect a Halloween-themed goody bag and also be entered into a prize draw to win a Halloween-inspired hamper, filled with lots of great gifts - kindly donated by local businesses!
Join the team at the City Museum, another one of Winchesters marvellous museums, as they celebrate Halloween with their spooky arts and crafts sessions! If you fancy a couple of hours of pure Halloween fun and creativity, you’re certainly in the right place. Make your own paper plate pumpkin decoration to take home, and after feel free to head down to Fort Nelson to join one of the spooky storytelling sessions; there’s no doubt you will be enthralled by Victorian tales of mysterious disappearances, sudden deaths and ghosts from the Fort’s best-forgotten history.
The fa-boo-lous Wizard Weekend at Winchesters Railway Station is not one to miss! With endless activities, the kids will be kept entertained all day long - just don’t forget your witch’s hat!
